We are currently two scientists coming from different fields and backgrounds, sharing a common passion for novel discoveries and material research. The combination of our diverse expertise allows to tackle problems from different angles and find unique solutions. Our founding team met at the Max-Planck-Institute of Colloids and Interfaces and decided to join efforts for enabling access to the latest measurement approaches for academic and industrial clients across Europe.
Managing director
Wolfgang is a materials scientist focused on structure–function relationships in hierarchical materials.
He has broad expertise in analyzing biological tissues and synthetic materials across multiple scales, with emphasis on mechanical function and material design.
He also brings extensive experience in project management, grant writing and handling, and co-managed a beamline at BESSY for 10 years.
As a biophysicist, Oliver takes keen interest in the structural and physical-chemical characterization of all kind of (biological) materials, especially with scanning SAXS/WAXS and XRF.
He is experienced in handling large data sets and customizing data analysis and visualization pipelines.
As a spin-off from the Max-Planck-Institute of Colloids and Interfaces (MPICI) in Potsdam, ioviso builds on a strong foundation of research, with Prof. Dr. Dr. h.c. Peter Fratzl as Scientific Advisor and Mentor in the EXIST start-up program of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy.
